AdvisorSuite Financial and AdvisorSuite Insurance for Zoom · Last updated 10 September 2026

AdvisorSuite puts client-facing calculators inside Zoom, so an advisor can run the numbers live during a client meeting. There are two separate apps: AdvisorSuite Financial (seven personal-finance calculators) and AdvisorSuite Insurance (seven insurance calculators). They are added, used and removed the same way.

1Adding the app

Before you start

A Zoom account (free or paid) and the Zoom Workplace desktop app for Windows or macOS, updated to the latest version (in Zoom: your profile picture → Check for Updates).
An internet connection.
No AdvisorSuite account, password or payment is needed. All seven calculators in each app work for free. A licence key is optional and only adds your firm's branding.
If your organisation manages Zoom centrally, your Zoom account admin may need to approve the app first (see step 4).

Step by step

Open the Zoom App Marketplace. Either go to marketplace.zoom.us in your web browser and sign in with your Zoom account, or open the Zoom desktop app and click the Marketplace tab (under More if you don't see it).
Find the app. Search for AdvisorSuite Financial or AdvisorSuite Insurance and click its name to open the listing.
Click Add.
If you see Request instead of Add, your Zoom account admin controls which apps can be added. Click Request; you will be able to add the app once your admin approves it.
Authorize the app. Zoom shows a permissions screen for AdvisorSuite. Review it and click Allow. AdvisorSuite does not read your meetings, participants, contacts, recordings, chat, or any other Zoom account data.
Open Zoom. After you allow the app, Zoom may open the AdvisorSuite calculator page in a browser tab. That is expected — you can close the tab. Go back to the Zoom desktop app.
Launch AdvisorSuite. Outside a meeting, click Apps in the Zoom desktop app and choose AdvisorSuite. During a meeting, click Apps in the meeting controls and choose AdvisorSuite. The calculator opens in a side panel next to the meeting.

2Using the app

Prerequisites

The app has been added to your Zoom account (section 1).
The Zoom Workplace desktop app, kept up to date.
An internet connection to load the app. Once it is open, every calculation runs on your own computer.
Optional: an AdvisorSuite licence key, bought at getadvisorsuite.ca, to apply your firm's branding.

Feature overview

Choose a calculator. The drop-down at the top of the panel switches between the seven calculators. The app remembers the last one you used.

Enter figures and read the result. Type the client's figures into the fields. Results update as you type. Each result is shown with a disclaimer: figures are illustrations based only on what was entered, not financial, insurance, investment or tax advice.

Show a client. Use Zoom's Share Screen to share the window showing the calculator, so the client can follow along as you change the numbers.

Tool buttons — under every calculator, free for everyone:

💾 Save	Keeps the figures currently entered in this calculator, on this computer only. Each calculator holds one saved set; saving again replaces it.
📂 Load	Puts the saved figures back. Shows Nothing saved if this calculator has no saved set.
⤓ Export CSV	Downloads the inputs and results as a spreadsheet file.
🖨 Download PDF	Opens the print dialog for just this calculator. Choose Save as PDF as the printer to make a PDF report for your client.

Settings (⚙ button, top right).

License — enter your Purchase email and License key, then click Activate license. When it works you'll see License active. Activation removes the AdvisorSuite badge and unlocks the branding settings below. Financial keys start with ASF-; Insurance keys start with ASI-.
Default currency — CAD, USD, EUR, GBP or AUD.
White-label branding (🔒 until a licence is active) — your Firm name, a Logo URL, and Primary colour and Accent colour. These replace AdvisorSuite's branding on every calculator and appear as a letterhead on PDF reports.
Click Save settings to keep your changes. Settings are stored on this computer only.

Not in the Zoom app: named, saved client scenarios. That feature stores scenarios on your own WordPress website, so it is only available in the AdvisorSuite Pro WordPress plugin.

Troubleshooting

The listing shows Request, not Add.: Your Zoom account admin has to approve the app. Click Request and ask your admin to approve AdvisorSuite.
I can't find AdvisorSuite under Apps in Zoom.: Make sure you are signed in to the Zoom desktop app with the same account you used to add the app, then update Zoom and restart it. If it still isn't listed, add the app again from the Marketplace.
The side panel is blank or says the page can't be loaded.: Check your internet connection, close the app panel and open it again, and update Zoom. On a company network, ask IT to allow financial-zoom.getadvisorsuite.ca, insurance-zoom.getadvisorsuite.ca and appssdk.zoom.us.
"That email + key combination was not found.": Use the exact email address you paid with, and copy the key from your payment confirmation page rather than typing it. Check the key matches the app: an ASF- key only works in AdvisorSuite Financial, and an ASI- key only works in AdvisorSuite Insurance. If you've lost the key, contact support with your purchase email.
"Could not reach the license server.": Check your internet connection and try again. On a company network, ask IT to allow license-advisorsuite.netlify.app. The calculators keep working in the meantime; only activation needs the connection.
A tool button says Unavailable, or Download PDF does nothing.: Some Zoom versions or company settings block saving, file downloads or printing inside apps. Update Zoom first. You can also open the same calculators in your web browser — financial-zoom.getadvisorsuite.ca or insurance-zoom.getadvisorsuite.ca — where saving, CSV export and PDF work normally.
My logo doesn't appear.: The logo URL must be a direct link to an image that anyone can open, starting with https://. Paste it into a browser first to check it shows the image on its own.
My settings or saved figures are gone.: They are stored on the computer where you entered them, inside Zoom. On another computer, activate your licence and enter your settings again.

3Removing the app

Step by step

Open the Zoom App Marketplace. Go to marketplace.zoom.us and sign in, or open the Zoom desktop app and click the Marketplace tab.
Click My Library (bottom left). Older versions of the Marketplace call this Manage → Added Apps.
Find AdvisorSuite Financial or AdvisorSuite Insurance in the list, and click the More (⋯) icon under Actions.
Click Remove, choose a reason if you like, then click Remove again to confirm.
If you can't remove it, the app was added for your whole Zoom account by an admin. Ask your Zoom account admin to remove it.

Removing the app deauthorizes it: Zoom revokes the permission you granted in step 5 of adding the app.

What happens after you remove it

Access ends immediately. AdvisorSuite no longer appears under Apps in Zoom and can't be opened in meetings.
We hold no Zoom data to delete. AdvisorSuite never reads or receives data from your Zoom account — no meetings, participants, contacts, recordings or chat — so nothing about your Zoom account exists on our servers.
Client figures were never sent to us. Every calculation runs on your own computer.
Settings stay on your computer only. Your licence email and key, currency, branding and any figures you saved remain in the Zoom desktop app's own storage on that computer. They are not sent anywhere. If you add the app again, they come back. A full uninstall of the Zoom desktop app, including its data folder, deletes them.
Your licence is not cancelled. A licence key is a one-time purchase that doesn't expire. It keeps working in the Chrome extension or Pro WordPress plugin, or if you add the Zoom app again. Removing the app does not trigger a refund; see the Terms of Use for the refund policy.
There is nothing to cancel. AdvisorSuite has no subscription and keeps no card on file.
Want your licence record deleted too? Email contact@getadvisorsuite.ca from, or quoting, your purchase email. We delete your email address and licence key and confirm when it's done. This permanently deactivates the licence everywhere. See the Privacy Policy.
